Award - 2024
WASA-TOP
World championship of architectural design
The WASA World Architecture Student Awards is one of the world's largest architecture student competitions, held mainly in Japan, China, the United States, and Europe. It is a competition that measures the diverse abilities of architecture students by allowing them to submit works such as past design assignments, competitions, and graduation projects as they are. As a global architectural design competition, applications are received from all over the world, and all applicants can accurately grasp their own abilities by receiving objective evaluation "feedback". In addition, the winning works are disseminated to the world in multiple languages, providing an opportunity for participants' works to attract international attention. 100 types of award certificates are available, and awards are given with respect to individuality, giving new insights and encouragement to more participants. With a high degree of freedom in submission format and theme, participants can maximize their creativity.
Here are three innovative features unique to WASA.
Detailed analysis of submitted works
We objectively analyze a designer's ability using an evaluation system that accurately compares and analyzes design works from around the world. It is the best and only evaluation method in the world. Improve personal and unreasonable evaluations and rankings from professors and others.
Dissemination of award-winning works
The 100 works that passed the first screening will be translated into multiple languages on the web and disseminated to the world. A global vote will be held using YouTube, Google Earth, and Form, and architects, professors, architecture students, and citizens from each country will view the contest and make it a creative competition.
Certificate/Prize
With 100 different types of certificates, we respect the individuality of more designers. You can discover characteristics that you would not notice unless you are using world standards. The prize money will prove the designer's ability and we will do our best to support their future success.
If you are participating in the tournament, please be sure to download the tournament pamphlet and keep it in a safe place.
Please print the competition poster yourself and display it in your laboratory or university.
A festival that all applicants can participate in
An innovative competition where all applicants, not just award winners, can participate and have fun learning.
In traditional competitions, only the winners get comments and feedback, and only a few people enjoy it.
WASA can receive analysis of submitted works and participate in global voting.
Participation fee free
free submission
The theme and assignment are free. You can submit university design projects, your own graduation design work, and design works submitted in other competitions as they are. Any expression or plan can be submitted as long as it is data such as video, 3D, CAD, Adobe, etc.
Work analysis
Certificate issuance
We conduct a high-precision analysis of all submitted works to discover your strengths and abilities. We calculate the world rankings and rankings for each ability and provide objective feedback. It serves as a certificate.
Exhibition of works
world vote
We will exhibit the 100 winning works in the preliminary rounds. Viewers can see works from all over the world and vote for their favorite works. You can interact with designers from all over the world through voting and comments.

WLS qualifying examination
100 award-winning works
WLS-Preliminary examination
Review period: August 2, 2024 - September 1, 2024
Results released: From September 2, 2024
WLS-World League Series
We will conduct a highly accurate comparative analysis with the past 50,000 works and objectively calculate the designer's ability.
Every year, 100 works are selected through preliminary screening and awarded with certificates. The 100 works will be given the right to participate in the second round.
Examination items
We will compare the submitted work with 50,000 design works from around the world and calculate the design ability for each design element.
The WASA competition will be judged from two perspectives: ``design proposal content'' and ``designer ability and personality.''
Analysis of design proposal content
Design elements are broadly classified into five categories: "A-Site," "B-Use," "C-Form," "D-Space," and "E-Act."
Are the five design elements proposed to users, operators, owners, businesses, designers, the country, region, and society as necessary? Are you able to show the designs, plans, and designs that you think are good? It may also be a solution to a problem or an interesting concept. If necessary, it may be necessary to propose possibilities such as scale, time, combinations, and relationships. Of course, the five design elements have a large impact on the thought process during design and any expression process during proposal.
In this way, we organize the infinite number of proposal patterns, objectively analyze your proposals, and respect your individuality.
Calculation of designer ability and personality
Objectively calculating ability is extremely difficult. There are two main abilities that designers are required to have when making proposals: ``Thinking ability (Production)'' and ``Expression ability (Presentation).'' However, there are an infinite number of other qualities inherent in a design proposal. In particular, ``originality'' and ``reality'' are often questioned. However, if we attach a hierarchy to properties like this, we cannot objectively evaluate them. Therefore, properties are set and judged as binary oppositions for each property. If it is ``uniqueness'', it is considered ``universality'', and by determining how much it touches on either, it picks up the designer's diverse individuality and possibilities.
Quantitatively diagnose "design ability and proposal properties" for "each element of a design proposal" by comparing it with past works.
This is an innovative examination method, rather than the old examination method by architects.

We provide accurate advice through comparative analysis based on advice from over 100 architects and past cases. Rather than relying on the subjective advice of an architect, we objectively assess what should be done and what should be done based on AI-based statistical data.
Rank calculation
Using the scoring technology of designers' various abilities, we are able to calculate a wide range of rankings, from national and world rankings by grade level to past rankings. We evaluate a wide range of abilities by calculating rankings based on ability from various perspectives, rather than calculating rankings based on overall scores.
